Licensed Connections

Article Summary

The Licensed Connections utility shows all users currently logged in to Procare.

Getting There

From the Procare Home screen go to Supervisor Utilities > Licensed Connections. You must be a member of the System Supervisor User Group to see this option.Image showing directions in article

Users Tab / Kick Button

On the Users tab, the Kick button may be used to force a user off the system, if they are on a main screen, such as the main screen of Family Data & Accounting.

However, if a user is in the middle of a task (like on a family Ledger Card) they cannot be automatically forced off. Instead, they will receive a message when they exit that screen.

Note: An alternative to using the Kick button is to manually stop and restart the Procare Licensing Service (at the main computer), which will cause everyone to be disconnected.

Devices Tab

Use the Devices tab to see any connected check-in computers, etc. Beginning in version 10.2.5273, you may also kick a check-in computer off the system in order to free up a seat. If a person is in the middle of checking in, this will cut them off and prevent them from completing the check-in process. If they click OK to the “you have been kicked” message, the check-in program will immediately start up again (so it may appear that you were not able to kick them).
