Deny Entry / Block Check In / Prevent Check In

Use the Deny Entry feature to prevent a child from being checked in by any of their assigned authorized pick up people.
Note: This feature is not compatible with attendance entered from the Engagement website or child care mobile app.
Purpose
This prevents ALL authorized pick up people from checking the child in, however, a staff member could still check them in either manually on the Child Time Card or using a procedure like Batch Check In or Receptionist Check In. If your intent is to block a particular pick up person (such as with divorced parents) just uncheck the Pickup box for that person on the Child Information & Relationships screen instead.
Getting There
From the main screen of Family Data & Accounting click Functions > Attendance Tracker > Deny Entry.
To Block / Prevent / Disable Check In
At the Deny Entry screen:
- Place a check in the Deny column for the appropriate children.
- Enter a Comment (reason) as to why check in is denied (optional).
- Click Save > Exit.
Note: When any authorized pick up person attempts to check the child in the button with the child’s name will say Entry Denied. If they click the button an additional message (in red) will appear alerting them to see the center director.
To Allow / Enable Check In
At the Deny Entry screen:
- Remove the check mark from the Deny column for the appropriate children.
- Click Save > Exit.
